For people who want the water to be part of an ordinary week, yes. Lake Tapps is a quiet, almost entirely residential area with a busy lake in summer and a calm, lowered lake the rest of the year. It has no downtown of its own, so errands and commutes start with a drive to Bonney Lake, Sumner or Auburn.
