What to put in your note
If you are selling
The street address is enough to start. If you have them handy, mention the dock’s age, whether the house is on sewer or septic, and when you are hoping to be on the market. If you have good summer photographs of the water side, hold on to them. They can help with a listing later in the year.
If you are buying
Tell me if you want to be right on the water, looking at it, or a short walk from a neighborhood dock or beach, and which parts of the lake you already like. If there is a particular listing, send the address.
If you are not sure yet
That is a fine place to start. Plenty of lake conversations begin with someone curious about what their house might be worth, or what it would take to move from a lake-view street down to the shore. We can talk it through before you decide anything.
